Sign Programs & Wayfinding
Sign programs take the form of messages with symbols
to convey directions to a destination; identification to
mark places; regulations to manage behavior; instructions
to educate; or information to stimulate interest in a place.
However, an effective wayfinding system is not limited
to sign graphics alone. Visual cues from architecture,
clear circulation routes, accessibility criteria, materials
and colors, and lighting help us navigate places, and
integrating this approach is essential for developing a
successful sign program.
Our experience in the field of environmental graphic design
includes many types of architectural sign programs devel-
oped to
provide wayfinding and identification graphics at
major public buildings, urban sites, city parks, and multi-
modal transportation facilities. We frequently collaborate
with prominent architectural and engineering firms, on
large-scale, complex building projects. |
